Computer Intelligence Activity

I was happily surprised discovering this game online. This game asks various questions to narrow down their guesses. By making the viewer choose a category, the computer able to identify the answer easier. For some things I tried to make the computer guess, especially if they were less known or less common, the computer had a hard time and ended up asking around 25+ questions. In one case when they were to guess a name "Tilly", the computer gave up around 30 questions and I won. The computer bases their guesses off of what other viewers had described their mystery answer as. For example if the computer couldn't make a guess about "Jackson Rod Stewart" but the viewer answered "yes he is a child", the computer would remember that and would be able to pin point the mystery answer as Jackson in another game if the viewer confirmed he was a child.

Observations

While viewing my other classmates' blogs, I noticed that they were all customized to themselves with different pictures and color themes. Also, I noticed the difference between projects between my classmates, some people did more complicated designs while others took the easier route. Overall, I definitely saw all my classmates time and effort throughout their creations!

My Cornrow Creation

To create the cornrow, I had to master the skill of translating, and rotating the cornrow to get the overall curved cornrow. This was difficult at first, but after a few times I got the hang of how to approach making a new cornrow.

Navajo Rug Weaver, Project #3

I progressed from making design 1 and 2 because I used a vast variety of techniques such as expanding the ways I plotted my points, lines, triangles and rectangles. I ran into a lot of trouble throughout this particular shape though, and unfortunately could not finish it because of it.

Native American Design #2 Pacific Northwest Basket Weaver

During make this design, I ran into some problems which eventually I overcame by trial and error and help from my friends. I had a difficult time figuring out how to construct the braid portion of this design. My friend recommended that I try using the Linear Iteration in order to get the braided effect. After she had demonstrated how to use this part of the software, I was able to complete it successfully.

My Current Event

Current Event:

While researching current events, I found a particular website that interested me. This website talks about how in approximately 1-2 years, cars will be able to communicate to each other in order to avoid crashes. The definition of car communication the site uses, "A simple wireless technology promises to make driving much safer." This invention will benefit the human kind especially in our society today. It was reduce the risk of accidents caused by texting, being tired, or being under the influence of a drug substance or alcohol. According to the site, around 1 million people are killed in car crashes every year, and because of this newly invented technology, many of those lives can be now saved. This invention is very complex and well thought out in my opinion, "The computers aboard each car process the various readings being broadcast by other vehicles 10 times every second, each time calculating the chance of an impending collision. Transmitters use a dedicated portion of wireless spectrum as well as a new wireless standard, 802.11p, to authenticate each message." I am very excited to see how this invention will work in our society, whether it will help Americans or make us lazier.
