The Hour Of Code

During my hour of code, I experimented with the Frozen decoding activity. One of the things I can remember and really stuck with me is the definition of a loop. A loop is how you repeat your code over and over again in a program or app. Also I learned that instead of typing a code multiple times, it is easier to place the instructions inside a repeat bracket so the computer repeats these steps in the order that they are seen. I was also introduced to another vocab word, A function is when you define a program and give it a name.

My name is Helen and I am a sophomore at Reading High.I am 15, an only child, and my birthday is on the 24th of August. I like spending time with friends and I family. I also have an obsession with Netflix and youtube. My favorite subjects are anything science related and math. Later on in life, I see myself being a physical therapist or a pediatric nurse; definitely somewhere in the medical field! I am taking this class because I want to learn more about computers and technology. I am looking forward to learning how to use computer software and finding new ways to complete tasks faster.
